How do I cough into my sleeve?

by Emily Cotter last modified 2008-01-15 17:44
  • Figure out which way of covering your coughs and sneezes is most comfortable for you.  Try covering your mouth with the fabric of your sleeve at your elbow, or in the area near your shoulder if you are not wearing a long-sleeved shirt.
  • If you are wearing a tank top, or just don't like coughing into the fabric of your sleeve, use a tissue or handkerchief to cover your coughs and sneezes, then dispose of the tissue and clean your hands using soap and water or alcohol-based hand sanitizer!
