The Top 5 Ways to Stay Healthy During Cold and Flu Season:
-
Hand Hygiene:
- Wash your hands with soap and water, or use an
alcohol-based hand sanitizer, whenever you have touched something that
may have been contaminated by other people's germs.
-
Hand Awareness:
- If your hands are dirty or have come into contact
with something that may have had germs on it, avoid touching your eyes,
nose, and mouth with your hands until you have had a chance to clean
your hands with soap and water or alcohol-based hand sanitizer.
-
Social Distancing:
- If you are around someone who is sick, try to
stay at least 3-6 feet away from that person in case they cough or
sneeze when they are around you.
-
Cough Etiquette:
- If you are sick with a cold or flu, cough or sneeze
into your sleeve, or into a tissue which you then discard, to avoid
spreading your germs to other people and objects around you. Even
better, wear a mask when you are around other people to avoid spreading
your cold or flu to others.
-
REDI-US Supplies:
- Carry your REDI-US bag with you! Keep this bag filled with hand sanitizer, tissues, masks, and your REDI-US Study thermometer.
